AMG Vanadium, Inc. announced two key plant leadership changes that became effective February 1.

Ed Forshey has transitioned into the role of Director of Energy and Asset Management. Mr. Forshey has been serving as Plant Manager for the past five years and has also been the company’s energy guru. “With the recent electric utility regulation changes and emerging shale initiatives, the business has a heightened focus on energy developments. Additionally, as is the case in all manufacturing companies, asset management is of critical importance, particularly with our capital expansion program. Ed is well suited to lead both of these key areas,” comments President Hoy E. Frakes, Jr.

Jane Neal has assumed the role of Plant Manager, after having joined the AMG Vanadium team as Sales Manager in May 2011. A metallurgist by trade, Ms. Neal brings over 20 years of experience in quality, process control, and operational leadership, including previous experience as a Plant Manager at Roll Coater in Weirton, WV.  Ms. Neal has a metallurgical engineering degree from The Ohio State University and a MBA from West Virginia University. “We are very pleased to have such a seasoned professional move into this important role within our Company. Jane’s strong metallurgical, quality and operational background in the steel and metals industries make her well equipped to take on this responsibility, and we’re looking forward to her leadership in the Plant,” states Mr. Frakes. Jane and her husband, Bob, reside in Cambridge.
