METALLURG VANADIUM COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION OF NEW
RAW MATERIAL STORAGE BUILDING
Metallurg Vanadium Corporation ("Metallurg Vanadium" or the "Company"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AMG Advanced
Metallurgical Group N.V. and soon to be named AMG Vanadium, Inc., has completed the construction of a new 43,000 square foot
Raw Material Storage Building at its manufacturing facility on Southgate Road. A ribbon-cutting event was held in the new building on
November 16 to commemorate this achievement.
This $6 million storage facility is a part of Metallurg Vanadium’s project to increase vanadium production capacity at its Cambridge
facility. The building meets or exceeds all OEPA standards for safe containment of spent refinery catalyst, a raw material used in the
production of ferrovanadium, the Company’s primary product offering. Its state-of-the-art design features a unique sub floor liner
system. The building is linked to a dedicated railcar unloading and conveyor system which will offload raw material from the railcar
directly into the new building, greatly enhancing operational efficiency.
"We are delighted to be opening our new Raw Material Storage Building which is an integral part of our expansion plan and will
improve our global competitive advantage. The building’s cutting edge environmental design is consistent with our Company’s
commitment to environmental stewardship and responsibility," commented Hoy E. Frakes, Jr., President. "I would like to thank all of
our local contractors who have partnered with us to make this expansion become a reality for our Company and for the
Cambridge/Guernsey County area."
